Viking Zoro
A fanart illustration made of Zoro from the anime, One Piece. This illustration included a culture-bend concept in which I reimagined what Zoro would be if he turned into a viking.
The Process

Lineart and initial render for the illustration. The background used photobashing to combine a sandy beach with some sunrays through the cloudy atmosphere.
Final render of the illustration. Looking back, I feel that what could’ve improved on this would be finding references first on how to properly do illustrations in which the main light is behind the subject. What I created couldn’t properly show the subject in a cool way. Asides from that, I feel that the facial proportions of Zoro could’ve been improved more since he doesn’t look like Zoro right now. Finally, I feel that the metal render is too chromatic, especially for someone who would be constantly in combat. It would’ve needed more wear and tear.
